Keynote DINAcon 2019: Bart van Leeuwen combines more than 20 years of experience as an operational firefighter at various fire departments in the Netherlands with running 20 years of leading Netage B.V., an SME delivering Smart Data for Smarter Firefighters. This unique combination gives him the opportunity to identify relevant research and its application in a real-world scenario.

Bart serves as a career Senior firefighter and Station Instructor in the Netherlands. Netage B.V. operates on a global scale for fire services and related organizations on various smart data topics.
Bart holds a guest researcher position at VU ( Vrije Universiteit) Amsterdam where he combines his practical experience with research topics to guide students who are interested in the field of emergency response and knowledge management.
